Final Farewells

It is regret that I am making the last post of my D3 Adventures career. For the last decade or so, I have been fighting to keep this company afloat. We’ve had our fair share of ups and downs but I was never able to get our sales to a sustainable level. It has finally come time for me to acknowledge that D3 just needs to be put to rest and finally stop the bleeding. I can’t lie, the hurricane and resulting flooding of our house, did not help, but it was more of a final straw than any real cause.

I started D3 as a way to publish my Hero System setting of Kamarathin because corporate America was stressing me to the point of distraction. I had no idea what I was doing. I still have a lot to learn despite the enormous amount I have learned over the past 10 years. Not sure if I’ll get back into game publishing, but I am certainly not leaving gaming and I have an endeavor in place to at least try and make the connections for other creators using the contacts I have gained over the last decade.

Shortly after this post we will announce a fire sale to try and recoup some final royalties for all of the talented folks who have created our content. I have had the pleasure of working with some of the finest people I have ever known and their work shows their talent and love for the hobby.

While D3 is going the way of the Dodo, it is my hope that these wonderful creators will find places in the industry to continue their work.

So, it is with a heavy heart I say; so long and thanks for all the fish.
