Line Update – Tangents!

Tangent! are among our oldest product lines, and they serve their purpose perfectly. For those of you unfamiliar with the Tangent! line they are designed to be system non-specific adventure hooks to fit in any genre appropriate campaign world. If it has been a rough week and you don’t have time to prepare an entire adventure, these gems allow you to adjust quickly for difficulty and system and plop them wherever you need them to be. They provide maps, plot hooks, suggestions on varieties of enemies, and guidelines for difficulty of various challenges.

Tangent! also serve another purpose here at D3 Adventures. This product line is where most of our authors got their start (my first work with D3 was on a few Tangent!, although I had written adventures for other companies first). They can showcase their writing style (including villain motivations, plot twists, and basic cartography) without having to balance game mechanics. For our veteran writers, they still provide a great avenue to present a concept and plot that might not fit our other product lines. It is always a treat to see what is brewing in this line.

Speaking of, here is what is coming soon to a Tabletop near you!

Tangent! Indentured Damnation presents a vampire themed murder mystery in a modern world. When the police try to cover up a series of unexplainable murders, investigators turn to unorthodox methods; they recruit the heroes. This one is written by veteran author Zach Jernigan and should be available by early August.

Tangent! Monolith of Mayhem focuses on a strange portal that connects a wide variety of worlds. An orc horde, focused on slaughter and sacrifice to their dark god, has been using the portal to invade new worlds and pillage them. The party stumbles across the army and must outwit the horde to disrupt their reign of terror and rescue several captives. This one is written by one of our newest authors, Zoey Boles. It is expected early to mid August.

For our readers who have wanted to write adventures for various genres, but feel overwhelmed by the process, this is a great place to start. Contact us and we can get your adventure started.
